Protect Your Sexual and Reproductive Health![]()
If you are sexually active, regular testing for STDs is necessary to guard your sexual and reproductive health. Keep in mind:
- No birth control method, including condoms, is 100% effective in preventing the spread of STDs.
- Many STDs do not have noticeable symptoms, meaning you could be infected without realizing it.
- Even without symptoms, it is still possible to spread an infection to a partner.
At Ivy Women’s Center in Mentor, as part of our pregnancy services, we offer free, limited testing and treatment for the most common STDs so that you can protect your sexual and reproductive health and the health of your partner. Call today to learn more about these services.

When Should I Be Tested?
You should be tested for STDs as soon as you learn you’re pregnant, or if you are sexually active and haven’t been tested recently. An untreated STD can seriously impact your sexual and reproductive health, and it’s especially important to address infections before pursuing an abortion or continuing with a pregnancy. At Ivy, we offer STD testing as part of our pregnancy services. If an active infection is detected, we provide free treatment, ensuring you can move forward with peace of mind.
As of October 4, 2025, through our STD Clinic, we offer free Chlamydia and Gonorrhea testing on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month for females ages 15+ and males ages 15-19 in Northeast Ohio. This testing is free of charge—and if your test comes back positive, we offer free treatment by appointment.
